2012 is here along with another new client... already!

McLarenPGC has secured a project in London for one of the Uk’s biggest contractors, McLaren.

The works are relatively small scale but intricate and will take place within an existing building. The disused lift shaft will be tied in on all floors in one continuous pour which makes the risk and trust quite great. Even more encouraging is that the trust for such a scheme is being placed on PGC which is the first project secure for McLaren!

Works commence and complete in early 2012 and will hopefully be a great stepping stone for another great relationship.

Another Landmark Project – Another satisfied Client!

A&HPGC contractors are underway and ahead of programme completing the ground works and civils for the new and much publicised EUROFINS laboratory on the new business and science park regeneration site i54, based in Wolverhampton.

The site has been advertised as the new home for growing businesses and is set to become a huge art in employment growth over the next few years.

Just missing out on the large McLaren project on the adjacent plot MD, Dave Spencer states ‘it was particularly satisfying to secure the 2nd project on this regeneration plot. We have just completed the groundwork’s on the recent well-advertised regeneration of the former HP Sauce site, so it was good to move straight on to this and be a part of helping create new jobs for this area also. Despite missing out on the 1st project for McLaren we are now working closely with a client that has provided us with many opportunities in such a short space of time and so far the project has gone very well.

PGC undertook a small ground works project for A&H early last year (Co-Op Store, West Brom) and due to performing very well while building a great relationship with a good client they have since worked alongside A&H on the Eurofins i54 project and also on a large school project just outside Kidderminster.

SISK Rail

SISK RailAs part of PGC’s initiative to expand in to all sectors of engineering and construction they have now forged a new relationship in the form of SISK RAIL. The scheme for this reputable client starts in June 2011 and looks to complete around November 2011. The new modular building construction will be completed once diversions have taken place, demolition and working around an array of live services is competed to make way for the foundations, drainage, piling and concrete works with external works finishing off the project on the LondonMidland rail line.

The works coincide with PGC’s investment in more safety commitment by pursuing PTS (Track Side) accreditation along with the recently acquired Safe Contractor certification.

Britannia Construction

Britannia LogoThis is another new client entrusting PGC with a prestigious high profile and high complexity project. PGC will install heavy duty box culverts linking two industrial building to create a walk way and small vehicle access under one of the busiest roads in Cheltenham. This particular project gives PGC the chance to show their Civils experience to bring the project to completion in late 2011. The works consist of bulk earthworks, heavy duty ground supports, installing box culverts, in situ concrete works, complex false work, working around live services in a high trafficked area using cranes around 100 tons to manoeuvre and install the 18ton culverts..

Tolent Construction

PGC have added Tolent Construction to their growing client base an recently commence a large pharmaceutical warehouse extension in the Midlands. The project value is circa £400k and will run for 24 weeks with PGC undertaking: site strip, earthworks, drainage , foundations, services, external works, large attenuation systems and creating internal pits for specifically designed to assist the logistics of medicinal storage and shipping.

The works were welcomed as PGC are now working in the health care sector along with current live projects in Education, Leisure, Retail, Private Housing and Commercial.

PGC have an increased client base ranging from North London Contractors to Northern Based contractors within only 80 miles from Scotland with several more clients in between. This shows PGC’s diversity and flexibility when it comes to customer care and capabilities to work effectively and economically on a national basis.

MD Dave Spencer states “although 8 out of 10 of our live projects at present are in the Midlands, we understand the requirement to expand and be prepared to work wherever necessary in uncertain economic times especially. We have secured works in North London, the Midlands and up North but have managed to remain competitive and co-operative and are always willing to assist our clients wherever the project may be”
