Management roles and responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities for health and safety will be defined, as necessary, within job descriptions.

Health and safety is adequately assessed, controlled and monitored, and Our people are actively involved
on matters that affect Health and Safety
Hazard identification
We will identify our workplace Health and Safety hazards and will inform our people of those hazards.
COMPETENCE
(to undertake the work with the minimum risks to Health and Safety)
Health and Safety training
All our people will be adequately trained in the health and safety issues that that affect them, and the safe
working practices that should be followed
Risk assessment and management
We will assess the risks associated with the health and safety hazards in the workplace. All our people will be informed of those risks and we will take action to actively prevent, reduce or control those risks to an acceptable level and therefore reduce the potential for incidents and accidents
COMPLIENCE
(to achieve compliance with legislation)
Incident investigation
we will report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses with the findings of those investigations
being used to take corrective action and prevent any reoccurrence.
Measuring performance
We will review our health and safety performance and set targets to drive continuous improvement
Occupational health related issues
we will assess our occupational health risks. All our people will be informed of the occupational health risks
that are associated with their work. We will take action to prevent, reduce or control occupational health risks
to an acceptable level and reduce the potential for ill health. We will assess our people’s fitness for work
and health surveillance will be conducted to satisfy health and safety legislation
Employees
Whilst it is the duty of management to do everything possible to prevent personal injury, it is equally the duty of every employee to exercise personal responsibility to do everything possible to prevent injury to him and others and to co-operate with the management in complying with the legal requirements.
ENVIRONMENT
We recognise that our activities have the potential to harm the environment and will actively strive to minimise those effects and workto control our pollution levels with the regard to waste management
Our policy will be delivered to all our people to ensure their continued involvement in our striving to ensure we operate within the safest environment possible
To ensure that this policy and the procedures laid down within it are up to date and reflect any changes in legislation it will be reviewed annually
